These are personal study sessions that I am sharing with you. All the activities and questions are geared towards me, not you. However, if you want to do them for yourself, feel free.
60 Day Challenge - Study the Bible or Bible-Based Study Guides (of your choice) every day for 60 days. GOAL - To create a lifestyle of study.
DAY 8
STUDY TOPICS: Trust & Blood
MOTIVATION: The Lord showed me the importance of trusting in the power of the blood and the life of Christ in me. So I am searching the Bible for witnessing scriptures.
GOAL: Gain clarity about the power of the blood of Jesus, as well as about trusting in Christ.
STRATEGY: Did a Bible search for the two words and scanned through the New Testament, looking for verses that seem to apply to what the Lord was showing me.
TRUST
2 Corinthians 3:3-5
3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
Ephesians 1:11-13
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
FINDINGS - Jesus is in us. He is the power of God and its excellency, and there is none outside of Him. He is the SOURCE of our strength in God. By power, I mean the power of righteousness, the power to suffer with joy, the power to work miracles, and the power to wait on glory. He came in us that we would always have access to this power through Him. This operation is a fundamental principle of our salvation. He is in us and able to do all things through us. However, if you do not trust Him to do it, He never will because you do not believe in His life in you.
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
TRUST = BELIEF
Food for Thought - Do you truly trust the power of Christ inside of you? Or do you walk in fear of constantly coming up short in your walk in the Spirit? 🤔
BLOOD
Romans 3:25-26
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT - Do you believe in the power of the blood? That it has indeed cleansed you of all your sins and has presented you faultless before the Lord? Whenever we revert to sin, we have somewhere lost trust in the power of the blood.
Hebrews 9:13-14
13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
FINDINGS - We are indeed purged. We must trust in the active power of the Holy Ghost in us. He cannot sin, nor can He fail; therefore if our trust is in Him for keeping, we are safe.
If we trust in the active power of the Holy Ghost in us, believing that His blood has indeed cleansed us and that His spirit is keeping us, then we will walk upright before Him.
1 Peter 1:2
Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
OTHER THINGS TO RESEARCH - Study how final the cleansing of the Blood of Jesus is. What are the differences between repentance before and after receiving the Holy Ghost?
